Kevin Nolan scored against his
former side Newcastle on the 37th minute. Demba Ba managed to rocket a header,
but officials deemed his effort as invalid after a closer look revealed that
keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen narrowly prevented the ball to penetrate the line.
Newcastle’s lacklustre showing gave
the Hammers an opportunity to win w1th ease on away. Shola Ameobi and Papiss
Cisse failed to influence their side’s attack.
