Petra Kvitova vs Victoria Azarenka 12BET 10/30 11PM GMT+8

Petra Kvitova finished the round-robin phase of the WTA Championships at the top position in the Red Group, with all the three matches won, while Victoria Azarenka was the leader of the White Group, and the two have now reached the $4,900,000 tournament final by beating their semifinal opponents – Kvitova rebounded to beat Samantha Stosur, Azarenka was solid against Vera Zvonareva.

The first semifinal of the day was Kvitova vs. Stosur. Even though it was Kvitova who earned an initial lead, Stosur won the first set 7-5 and had a break point to go 2-0 up in the second set. The Czech debutante at the tournament then won six of the next eight games to win the set 6-3 before going 5-0 up in the decider. Stosur did manage to get closer in the third-set score, but the match finished to Kvitova’s advantage 5-7 6-3 6-3.

After the defeat in the last round-robin match against Maria Sharapova's replacement, alternate Marion Bartoli, Victoria Azarenka recorded a mostly comfortable victory over Vera Zvonareva 6-2 6-3. "I really tried to change my mentality from yesterday. It was a bit of a disaster," said Azarenka of her fall to Bartoli.

Kvitova and Azarenka, first-time finalists at the WTA Championships, will not only fight for the enormous prize money that the title brings, but also for a career-high No.2 position in the WTA rankings. The undefeated Kvitova can earn $1,750,000, while Azarenka will fight for $1,635,000.

When it comes to head-to-heads, Kvitova has won her last three meetings with Azarenka, and has a 3-2 lead

Sam Stosur falls to Victoria Azarenka in WTA Championships in Turkey

A WAYWARD Samantha Stosur suffered a straights-sets drubbing at the hands of world No.4 Victoria Azarenka at the season-ending $4.7 million WTA Championships in Turkey.

Following her breakthrough victory over Maria Sharapova yesterday, the Australian was out of sorts in her 6-2 6-2 round-robin loss to the clinical Belarussian at Istanbul's Sinan Erdem Arena.
It was the Queenslander's fifth straight defeat against Azarenka and the world No.4 has yet to drop a set against Stosur.
The result means the reigning US Open champion must defeat Li Na in her final round-robin match on tomorrow (Saturday morning AEDT) to reach the semi-finals.
The top two players from each group advance to weekend action in the elite eight-woman competition.

Stosur produced 26 unforced errors to her opponent's 13 but dismissed her tight schedule being the reason behind her ordinary showing.- by  http://www.theaustralian.com.au

WTA - Championship 2011 (Winner) 12Bet preview 10/26

Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova would never describe her summer triumph at SW19 as anything other than a blessing, but so far it has not been a gateway to greater things.
In common with the unlikely assortment of Major winners of 2011 she has struggled since achieving a career peaking moment, so much so that it almost looks like there has been a curse on the Grand Slam winners this season.

Although the 21 year-old Czech kicked off the year-end WTA Championships with a 6-2 6-4  round-robin group victory over Russian Vera Zvonareva it has largely been heavy going since her unexpected win over Maria Sharapova in the final at SW19.
The same could be said for her fellow Major victors who, far from surging on to new heights, had amassed a deeply modest collective match record of 33-21 coming into this event since lifting one of the big four trophies.
Kim Clijsters was the first to get into difficulties, after winning the Australian Open title back in January.
After some lacklustre form she went to a cousin's wedding in early April and went over on her ankle while dancing.Having gone on to develop stomach muscle problems she abandoned her season in August after various abortive comebacks (although she is planning to return right at the start of 2012). - http://www.dailymail.co.uk

Jarkko Nieminen vs Tobias Kamke 12BET Tip 10/21 7:30PM GMT+8

STOCKHOLM THURSDAY PREVIEW - MONFILS MAKES RETURN, WAWRINKA ALSO IN ACTIONFive quarter-final spots are still up for grabs at the If Stockholm Open, and 10 ATP World Tour stars will go to battle for them as the second round wraps up in the Swedish capital.

First up is No. 4 seed Juan Ignacio Chela of Argentina against Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov. Chela is playing his first hard court match since the US Open - since the last Grand Slam of the year he has played one tournament, but it was on clay (he reached the semi-finals of Bucharest). Now the 32-year-old veteran plays one of the game’s rising stars, 20-year-old Dimitrov, who has had his best season to date, reaching three ATP World Tour quarter-finals. It could be tough for him to reach his fourth, however - he is 1-13 this year against Top 30 players (Chela is No. 28).

Next up is No. 3 seed Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland against Finland’s Jarkko Nieminen. Wawrinka has had a very consistent year, reaching seven ATP World Tour quarter-finals (including a Grand Slam and two ATP World Tour Masters 1000 events) and spending all but the first week of the year inside the Top 20 (currently No. 19). Now he faces Nieminen, who has been ranked as high as No. 13 but who is now down at No. 72, and who is on a nine-match losing streak against Top 20 players (his last win came against David Ferrer at Rotterdam right after the Australian Open).

Next on is top seed Gael Monfils of France against Australian wild card Bernard Tomic. Monfils is playing his first match back after missing Beijing and Shanghai the last two weeks due to a knee injury. The World No. 10 is making his tournament debut here but has always done very well indoors, two of his three ATP World Tour titles coming indoors (as well as five of his 11 runner-up efforts). Tomic will be tough, though - the 18-year-old, who turns 19 on Friday, has already scored two Top 10 wins this season (Robin Soderling at Wimbledon and Mardy Fish in Shanghai last week).

12BET Tip Grigor Dimitrov vs Juan Ignacio Chela 10/20 6PM GMT+8

Juan Ignacio Chela and Grigor Dimitrov are against each other today in this 2nd round of Stockholm in Sweden. It will be an interesting match and also a very tough one between these two players for many strong reasons. Juan Ignacio Chela is actually in the 28th position in ATP ranking while his opponent in this match Grigor Dimitrov stands in the 70th position. Grigor Dimitrov did very well to beat Ryan Sweeting yesterday and eliminate him from this tournament with the result 6-3 6-1 in two sets while Juan Ignacio Chela rested in the 1st round and coming in this 2nd match as a powerful player by hoping to make a good performance and secure an important win against a good player like Grigor Dimitrov. Surely that Grigor Dimitrov does have a great serving but i doubt that he would be capable to have an easy match against a powerful player like Juan Ignacio Chela that always try to break by giving his everything with his speed and powerful return. In this situation i believe that Juan Ignacio Chela would be capable to easy hold his serve and taking this match maybe in tie-break or very close so my favorite bet for this match is Juan Ignacio Chela with handicap since i expect a good performance from the Argentinian.- by http://www.bettingexpert.com
