THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – The Professional Footballers’ Association recently released a six-point plan of action that aims to act against racism in football.

In light of the recent incidents on FA’s punishment of John Terry on racism against QPR defender Anton Ferdinand and Rio Ferdinand’s refusal to wear an anti-racism campaign shirt from Kick It Out, alongside other players, the PFA made the action plan that will push for tougher penalties on racism.

The new plan of action plans to make racism a “sackable offence” in place of fines and bans and enforce the “Rooney rule” – in which more black managers will be appointed. This is to counter the impending formation of the Black Players Association, consisting black players aiming to protect those who have played past through rival sides that have experienced racist abuse.
