THE LATEST SPORTS NEWS – Novak Djokovic gains victory over Swiss opponent Roger Federer to win the 2012 ATPWorld Tour title.

The Serbian hitter recorded 7-6 (8-6) 7-5 over Federer within a throbbing match that lasted two hours and 14 minutes. Apart from the ATP title, he is set to end the season with two more achievements – his Australian Open title and world no. 1 ranking.

Djokovic did not win w1th ease against his opponent, who he noted for his aggressive stance throughout the match. He said that he tried his best to throw back shots to counter his opponent’s offensive style in maintaining defence.  

ATP - Shanghai Rolex Masters

  Florina Mayer, currently 22nd in the ATP World Rankings, is a big favourite in this match. He has been playing well in 2011, recording 38 wins and 22 losses and will searcg only for the win today.On the other hand Fognini, currently 39th in the ATP World rankings, is an underdog in this game. Despite thag he has been playing solid tennis this season, recording 22 wins and 24 losses. Yet he will have a tough time against a solid opponent like Florian.
