THE LATEST FOOTBALL NEWS – Defender Ryan Shawcross, who captains Premier League side Stoke City, is not going to transfer to other clubs in January, said manager Tony Pulis.
The former Manchester United defender has gained positive impression from Pulis. During United’s 4-2 win against Stoke last Saturday, manager Sir Alex Ferguson noted that he should have opted to keep Shawcross in his side.
United have played past through rival Stoke through a Wayne Rooney double and shots from Robin van Persie and Danny Welbeck. An own goal from Rooney and a successful effort from Michael Kightly made up the Potters’ score.
