The Czech Republic's Petra Kvitova will face Maria Kirilenko of Russia in the opening rubber of the Fed Cup final at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow on Saturday.
Kvitova enters the contest on the back of victory in the season-ending WTA Championships and she will be the favourite to give the Czechs a 1-0 lead when facing the world number 27.
Svetlana Kuznetsova is in action for Russia in the second rubber against Lucie Safarova before the players change opponents for Sunday's reverse singles.
The nominated doubles pairs for the possible fifth rubber are Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Elena Vesnina for Russia and Lucie Hradecka and Kveta Peschke for Czech Republic, with the captains still allowed to make changes. - http://www.sportinglife.com
